Love Your Liver Cleanse
A 3-Day Program
Your health depends on your liver, the
body's most complex organ. The liver converts everything we eat,
breathe and absorb thru the skin into life-sustaining substances as it forms
and stores red blood cells, while filtering toxins at the rate of a quart of
blood a minute. The liver is a major blood reservoir.
A healthy liver keeps immunity high by
producing natural antihistamines. The liver has amazing
rejuvenative powers, and functions when as many as 80% of its cells are
damaged. Even more fantastic, the liver regenerates its own damaged tissue. A
clean liver is vital for the body to heal itself.
Do you need a liver cleanse? Fatigue,
unexplained weight gain, depression, mental confusion, sluggish elimination,
food and chemical sensitivity, PMS, jaundiced skin and/or liver spots on the
skin, repeated nausea, dizziness and dry mouth may indicate your liver needs
some lovin'. This fast helps your body rid itself of toxins and cleanses the
blood; it is recommended twice a year--spring and fall, when sunlight and
natural vitamin D offer the body a natural boost.
During a Fast
* The natural process of toxin excretion
continues, yet the influx of new toxins is reduced; hence total body toxicity
is reduced.
* The energy normally used
for digestion is redirected to cell growth, immune function, and elimination
processes.
* The immune system's workload is greatly reduced; in addition the digestive
tract is spared inflammation due to allergic reactions to food.
* Serum fats which thin the blood are lowered, hence tissue oxygenation is
increased and white blood cells are moved more efficiently.
* Fat-stored chemicals--pesticides, drugs, etc.--are released.
* Physical awareness and sensitivity to diet and surroundings are increased.
Cleanse Instructions
To prepare for the fast, eat
only raw vegetables and fruits for two days, making the fast less of a shock to
the system. During the fast, consume as much steam-distilled
or reverse osmosis water as desired. Lemon juice may be added to warm water.
Green juices are excellent detoxifiers.
The Fast
On Arising: 2 TBS Lemon Juice
in distilled or reverse osmosis water
Breakfast: 8 oz. Carrot + 8 oz. MultiGreen
Mid-Morning: pH Solution
Lunch: Apple Juice
Mid-Afternoon: MultiGreen
Dinner: Salad in a Glass
Before Bed: Lemon Juice in water
Follow the fast with two days
of raw vegetables and fruits. Cooked foods may impair the desired effects of
the fast. Frequent and small meals are recommended after a fast.
