For one Saturday, historic front porches turn into live music stages as local artists fill the streets with everything from folk to funk. The best part is simply wandering. Every April 4th, Atlanta celebrates its original area code - and everything that makes this city what it is. 404 Day brings together local artists, vendors, music, and thousands of Atlantans showing love for the culture and creativity that define the city. As an Atlanta-founded company, it’s one of our favorite days of the year to celebrate the community that has supported Arden’s Garden for more than 30 years.

3. Sandy Springs Artsapalooza

For one weekend each spring, Sandy Springs Artsapalooza turns the neighborhood into a vibrant outdoor art gallery. More than 150 artists line the streets with paintings, handmade goods, and creative pieces, while live music and family activities keep the energy going all weekend. It’s colorful, creative, and perfect for a relaxed afternoon exploring local art.

4. Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Friday-Sunday, April 10-12

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is one of the city’s longest-running spring traditions, and for good reason. Art booths, live music, food vendors, and blooming dogwood trees turn Piedmont Park into a full weekend celebration of the season.

Bring a blanket if you can - this is the kind of festival where you settle into the park, listen to music, and end up staying longer than you planned.

5. Festival on Ponce

Set along the beautiful Olmsted Linear Park, Festival on Ponce feels a little like stumbling into a neighborhood secret. Artists, musicians, and local vendors line the park paths, creating a relaxed afternoon of browsing handmade goods and enjoying spring weather. It’s one of those festivals where you can take your time - walk the park, meet a few artists, and enjoy the easy pace of the neighborhood.

6. Inman Park Festival

If you’ve lived in Atlanta for a while, you know the Inman Park Festival is a spring classic. The historic neighborhood fills with art booths, live music stages, food vendors, and thousands of visitors exploring the streets lined with Victorian homes. And let’s not forget the parade. The Inman Park Festival Parade, led by the iconic butterfly, winds through the neighborhood Saturday afternoon with marching bands, floats, dancers, and plenty of Atlanta personality.

7. Sweet Auburn Spring Fest, 

Saturday & Sunday, May 9-10

This year marks the 40th anniversary of Sweet Auburn Springfest, one of Atlanta’s longest-running street festivals. Held along historic Sweet Auburn Avenue, the weekend brings together live music, local vendors, food, and thousands of Atlantans celebrating the culture and legacy of one of the city’s most important neighborhoods.

8. Virginia-Highland Porchfest,

If you love discovering local music, Virginia-Highland Porchfest is one of those neighborhood events Atlantans look forward to every spring. For one Saturday afternoon (12–7 PM), front porches across VaHi become stages while the streets fill with music, neighbors, and visitors wandering from block to block. From the music you’ll hear and the people you meet as you wander the neighborhood, Virginia-Highland Porchfest is full of the community energy that makes Atlanta neighborhoods so special.

9. Atlanta Jazz Festival

The 49th annual Atlanta Jazz Festival returns to Piedmont Park this Memorial Day weekend for three days of free performances from world-class artists. It’s one of the largest free jazz festivals in the country, and every year thousands of Atlantans spread out across the park with picnic blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy the music. If you're planning to spend the afternoon there, our Piedmont Park juice bar is an easy stop before heading into the festival.
